Diego Torres

Graduating with a Bachelors of Fine Art from the University of Utah, Diego Torres creates melancholic and whimsical themes through paint and drawing mediums in his body of work. Heavily inspired by imposto and al a prima paintings Torres treats each work with a wet, painterly approach to define the forms of his subjects. Using saturated color schemes he induces an emotional response from the viewer. These qualities allow the viewer to experience varying levels of tension, prompting his audience to asses the intensities of passion, regret, desire, dread, and fear.
